The purpose of this journal is to get rid of the old one that was up there. Lesseee... whats new in FanLampLand... Not a whole heck of a lot really, just working my ass off. Been doing a lot of writing lately, somehow I'm now in charge of putting together pitches and ideas for animated series. Not any one in particular, just animation series in general. Kind of fun, get to create worlds from scratch, design characters (at least of course until a REAL character designer gets a hold of them), and generally make shit up as I go... well, it's is slightly more complicated then that I suppose. I had been thinking about it recently and man, this beats the hell out of my last job. Not that my last job was bad or anything, it's just that this one is so much more rewarding for me personally. I feel as if my skills are improving without the need to practice them. It's a weird thing. I still got a lot of growing to do but now I feel like I'm in the right place to do it. Good environment, good opportunity.

Nothing really new to report. Kinda depressed over the fact that everything I draw turns to shit recently. Things have been rather slow at the job as well, but there is promise that it will pick up again. I probably shouldn't care too much about work and just focus on family, but I can't shake this lingering feeling that I'm doomed to a career of obscurity. This bothers me enough to the point of losing sleep. My wife thinks it's due to the baby crying at night, but only I know the truth...Mwa-ha.

Anyway, time to stop feeling sorry for myself and figure out how to get out of this ditch. If someone could throw down a rope, that would be cool.

Ok, so I've been out of commision for a while due to my home computer breaking down on me. I've been doing some stuff via my work computer when I have a few minutes, but I don't really like doing my DA stuff at work(which usually means I stay late to paint). But neverfear! I've been building my own BADASS machine that should be up and running by the beginning of next week(barring nothing ESLE goes wrong with my windows setup...fucking Microsoft).

With that rant out of the way... I'll be up for collabs as soon as I get up and running. I find I get a real kick outta painting other peoples drawings. Here's a coupla examples of some collabs I've done.
